PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IMPACT

Testimonial from our partners at Cruisers Aquatics - Hootenanny Swim Meet Manager, Lydia Forssander-Fong: 

North Vancouver Cruisers Aquatics is a non-profit summer swim club that offers four aquatic disciplines: speed swimming, water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. Over 900 speed swimming, water polo, diving and synchronized swimming athletes and their families from all over BC converge at Watermania, Richmond for 4 days in July for one of the largest aquatics events in the province. This event requires many volunteers to run it. Volunteer jobs include set up, food service for officials and volunteers, officiating, awards preparation, running concession and silent auction, garbage and security, and finally take down.

I have worked with Windermere student volunteers every year since 2014 at this event. They have always impressed me with their professionalism, their incredibly hard work ethic, their sense of responsibility, and their reliable ability to organize themselves and take initiative. These students work long hours each day of this event. They arrive before 6am, and they stay till after 6pm each event day. Despite the long hours, they are always cheerful, helpful, willing to do any job, and very capable and independent in completing each task.

I highly recommend without reservation this fantastic team of students. Our event would not be as successful and as well-run without their amazing help. I look forward to continuing to work with them in coming years.
